Crowned with our Curse

I was thinking about crowns yesterday. All the crowns mentioned in the Bible, the ones we will receive and the one our Savior wore. Then it hit me, he literally wore our curse on the cross. The ground in Genesis was cursed with thorns and a crown made of that very thing was placed on Jesus head, mocking his claim to be the Son of God. Little did they know he would literally bear our curse, securing salvation and freeing us from shame. Thank you Jesus! You took what we deserved and bought for us what you rightfully deserve.
